Hattvika Lodge - Ballstad

As bike riders, we loved the convenient location of Hattvika Lodge. It was situated in the middle of Lofoten, making it easy for us to explore Haukland Beach, Viking Museum, and the stunning mountains, beaches. The rorbuer we stayed in was not only cozy but also had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine which was a great help for hikers like us. The supermarket was just a 5-minute walk away, and there was even a Vinmonopolet at 11 km. The friendly and dedicated team at Hattvika Lodge shared their favorite places in Lofoten with us and made our stay truly memorable.

We recently stayed at Hattvika Lodge for a week to explore the beautiful Lofoten area. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the port and mountains. The room itself was clean and well-equipped, with a kitchen that had all the necessary amenities. The owner, Kristian, was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. The on-site restaurant was a standout, offering delicious dishes like the mouthwatering shrimp. the location, hospitality, and stunning views made our stay unforgettable.

I highly recommend this hotel.

The room at this lodge is cozy and comfortable, with high ceilings, a large bed, and two comfortable chairs in front of a big picture window. the bathroom is nice, with a real shower, and there are good blackout curtains and privacy shades. the location is great, with beautiful views of the inlet and easy access to a convenient store for supplies. the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of activities available to explore the surrounding area.

Some guests mentioned that the sauna was always booked during the evenings, which was a bit disappointing.

I had an amazing stay at a phenomenal lodge in Lofoten. the owners and staff were extremely friendly and provided personalized service. the lodge had a great view of the mountains, water, and fishing cottages. the rooms were spacious, beautifully renovated, and well-equipped. I enjoyed stunning sunrises and sunsets on the balcony and the beds were warm and comfortable. the lodge restaurant served delicious, sophisticated, and locally sourced food, with a fantastic selection of wine.

I highly recommend staying at Hattvika Lodge. Cons: Nothing to dislike!

my recent stay in ballstad was truly amazing - hattvika lodge exceeded all expectations. the clean and spacious dormitory, modern kitchen, and helpful staff made for a memorable experience. the location and friendly atmosphere truly stood out.

The rooms were great and clean, and the staff did a fantastic job. the property had a lovely fisherman cabin style and the interiors were classy and comfortable. One of the best features was the amazing decks around the property, which made for stunning photography opportunities. We even got to witness a breathtaking display of the Northern Lights right outside our room. the cabin was well-equipped with a kitchenette, allowing us to make sandwiches and coffee.

The location of the hotel was not ideal. It was quite far from many famous photography spots, requiring long drives if we wanted to explore iconic locations for sunrise, sunset, or Northern Lights.

The view from our room was breathtaking. Spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Friendly and hospitable owner. Fantastic restaurant with delicious shrimp.

We were already dreaming about going back to Hattvika Lodge from the moment we left! The location and accommodations were exactly as promised, with Christian welcoming us like we were family. He provided us with so much information and great ideas for our family adventures. We only wish we had more time to explore the area and have even more incredible experiences. I highly recommend this lodge for an unforgettable stay.
